Need some help w/ Gauge Cluster
It works just fine until the lights get turned on at night. After the lights are turned on all needles fall down and both blinker start flashing but arent actually being blinked. I need help on where to start on diagnosing this. Thanks.
Its a 1993 Honda Del Sol D16Z6.

Re: Need some help w/ Gauge Cluster
I would buy a cheap cluster from a junkyard replace and see if that solves it... I pay 30$ for clusters and it's only 6 screws so it's easy. If the cluster work we know it's a cluster problem easily fixed most likely. If it's still acting goofy you can sell your new used cluster for a profit on ebay or here and we can diagnose more. But that's an easy cheap place to start.

Find me a cluster for an automatic 93 del sol si for $30 and let me know! lol
Im having the hardest time finding them down here in Texas.
I also find out when light are on and I get my speed up to around 50mph the cluster will start freaking out like it wants to turn on.

^ Basically, your car electrics like to go to ground through the easiest route. This would be the ground wire. But there are other parts on your car electrics that can also function as a ground, and not having a ground wire can either cause a part not to work, or cause all sorts of seemingly unrelated things to go bananas because it's grounding where it's not supposed to. This is what's likely happening in your case.
