I have a 96 LX and now thats its winter and its getting freezing out my car is making a few diff sounds. The first thing sounds like a metal on metal sounds similar to a rotor being lightly grinded but it happens when i start to go, not brake. The other is a whiny sound when i shift from 1st to 2nd gear. Its a higher pithced sound that lasts for a half second when i hit the gas just into 2nd gear. This happened some before it got cold too. Could it be somthin with the syncros?? Im not too up on honda noises and i have been away at school so maintenance hasnt been too good. Any help is appreciated.
