Need some help PLEASE!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My y8 is over heating BAAAD. i just had the themostat replaced less than a month ago, and the mechanic said the relay switch for the fan is ok. Is it the head gasket? The over flow is filled and is well, over flowing. I've read the numerous threads about this in other forums and it's always the head gasket or lifting, but thats from boost. Is this the same problem in mine? Help me out guys PLEASE, I need this car working right.
Thanks

It may be the head gasket. You may also want to try a cooling system flush. If your car is overheating as badly as you are suggesting it will cause the reservoir to overfill.

yeah if your radiator is clogged, which it very well could be seeing your car is 12 years old that could cause it, or maybe just a guess but if the thermo was installed and you started heating afterwards you might have air in the cooling system and it needs to be bled

Re: Need some help PLEASE!!! (SirRevvs)
Thanks alot guys, SirRevvs I think you hit it on the head. I called a few shops in the area and I guess the shop that did my thermo doesn't have the greatest rep. for doing things right the first time. A well rep. shop suggested the same as you said about the air in the system. Thanks alot guys for the quick replys
