Need some help from people that know more than I do on a 1998 Civic HX
I used to be into Honda's a lot more when i was younger but since then I have moved away from them so I dont know as much as I used to. I needed a commuter car and decided an older Honda would work great. I bought a 1998 Civic HX with a d16y5 and automatic transmission. The motor runs fine for now but I bought the car knowing I was eventually going to have to put a different motor in it means how it has high miles as is. What im wondering is what other motors will swap easily into this vehicle? D16y5's are not the easist motor to find...or to find parts for and I would prefer to go to something easier if at all possible. Any advice on this would be great. I would not be apposed to even going to a B series if the swap was not to complicated.

Yea any d series you can find with low mileage, b series aren't so bad either, si mounts and shift linkage, axels, harness, ecu
