Default Need some help figuring out comp of JDM D15B block with D15b7 head

Im going to help a friends mom repair her civic, she wants a new engine so I thought I would swap her block (D15B7) for a JDM D15B (SOHC Vtec) for free and in return Im keeping the vtec head for another frinds mini-me setup im doing.
What compression will I achieve with this combo? what headgasket should I use (metal or normal for d15b7)? and which timing belt?

Please dont say just swap a d15b7 block, I live in venezuela and there are no d15b7 engines anywhere (no hatchbacks or coupes either just imported from the states like my friends mom) And I can find the JDM d15b fairly cheap.

if u put a JDM D15B short block, and still use the D15b7 head (because ur keeping the VTEC one...) How is she getting a new engine? shes just getting a new short block!!!

why go thru the trouble of swapping heads... Just swap the whole D15B in there...

yes, shes only getting a new shortblock, but ill rebuild the head (mill flat and change valve seals), but shell only pay for the engine itself and new parts (headgasket, valve seals, etc) no labor and I get payed getting a vtec head for a minime

after I do the minime, my friend will pay me, I get experience plus cash, I think its a good deal

I guess you are right, she wont notice a diference anyway. Should I rebuild the head or just slap it on top of the JDM block with a new headgasket?

i say new timing belt, water pump, oil pump, and just re-torque the valves.... and it should be good to go, as for head gasket, Honda OEM!!! good luck, but thats alot of work just for a VTEC head.... lol, she better be like family...
