I was going to do this with a friends car. Well he was thinking of it but it was alot of hassle. We were going to use a B16a engine with a auto LS tranny. But you need to find a Auto P30 ecu which came from the JDM Del Sols. You might beable to just program a Auto LS tranny ecu and use a vtec controller. But your biggest problem will be the ecu because of the vtec. Now if you want you could just do a auto LS swap and that would save you alot of hassle.

an auto is possible. As far as the performance aspect, if you are set on the auto thing than the only way to go is to get a new torque converter. Check out a company called TCI automotive, maybe they will have what you are looking for. Summit carries them, I dont know if they make it for the b16 though.
