What went out? The pump? Pulley? Belt? Lack of fluid?

or the pump, get one or both from a junkyard and swap it out. Shouldn't take you 30 minutes.

i would but all the junk yards around here dont have **** for my car, checked craigs list, none and then i called autozone and they want $179 for a rebuilt one. i'm just woundering if its about to go or something. the poping doesn't sound good but i can deal with it if its fine. just don't want to be driving down the street and have my steering lock up or something.

If it's just the seal, just buy the seal. P/s pumps are pretty simple. just take it off, and start taking it apart. Replace the seal, reassemble. What could happen? If you screw up, you'll be in the same boat as before.

Okay, here's what you do. Find the moderator padawan, he sells p/s block off kits. It's the best way to eliminate p/s on out cars without swapping engines.

It's cheap, and works great.

The only thing you could really expletive up is your PS components and maybe your steering gear.
