Need some clutch advise....please
Okay i dont post often but im reading on this site like every damn day. I did some searching for some general ideas but im a little confused on whether or not getting a lightweight flywheel is really necessary. In case i havent ever said it. i do drive a timid 99 coupe w/ a y8, so there isnt a whole lot of power being made. I just want a good, solid engaging setup that doesnt have too much "shudder" when shifting. Im kinda leaning towards an act hc5-hdss kit w/ everything i need. Im gonna be doing the installation at my school in our shop w/ a lift. I dont think ill encounter too much trouble with 2 of my frinds helping out.
I bought my car w/ 60k on it from a private dealer, so i dont know when the clutch was last changed, but it just isnt cutting it when i try to drive with some "spirit".
Let me know what you guys are all running and if it is something you would recommend. Im open to suggestions...Thanks

Hey i said please, come on, i know somebody here has an opinion. Im not looking to get a smart *** comment either as that is usually what happens first with these kind of questions. Just a good wellthoughtout opinion on what clutch would be best for my needs, would be nice

The following words are too short or too common and were not included in your search: what.

Also do a search for the fly wheel cause this is discussed alot as well.

i have act stage 2... 1900 pound pressure plate street disc.. it grabs hard so if you dont like that then get stock.. or maybe stage 1 1200-1600 pound pressure plate and see if you like it

Is it just me or is Jdmlyfestyle always looking for the chance to post his "you lazy ***, why dont you use search" bs even though he could have offered up a worthwhile responce to my topic.
Anyway, i appreciate EVERBODY elses responses and opinions. It seems like exedy is the choice in most applications. I guess ill do some more SEARCHING on this subject before i post again.
Thanks
