Need some advice on exhaust
Sup guys. Here is the dilemma i currently have a magnaflow muffler w/ mandrel bent piping(2.25 in.) . The question here is "would i see a decrease in power if i change my exhaust over to a em1 stock exhaust? I currently have intake and header. Is it worth the money, or should i keep it as it is? Also, is there a benefit to having a Si exhaust over a Ex exhaust? I do not have my Ex exhaust. How's the sound. Thanks for the input guys. I already searched and can't make up my mind.

Re: Need some advice on exhaust (mr_nemesis2003)
I would just get an OBX twin loop or an RSX-s muffler.
Better flow than the 6th gen mufflers and look better too.
I've also seen kids fit one of the s2k mufflers on their hatch.
I'd just get a 00+ oem muffler, unless you can get a deal on an ITR muffler.

Pair a 22" or 18" magnaflow resonator, with a 14" DynoMax super turbo muffler, it'll sound great, maybe a little raspy if you have no cat-converter. The magnaflow straight-thru's do sound great for a straight thru design, but it was a bit loud for me ( I loved how deep it was). I think i paid about $30 for the muffler, and another $30 to have it welded on.

as for the resonator part, i am using the apexi piping that came with my catback. So it already has a resonator. It is not raspy or anything, i just wanted to quite things down a bit. I heard a 350 the other day and that thing sounded nice. Maybe a twin loop will do it, just that they are 2.5 in.

Cant go wrong with the dynomax super turbo either, i think its less than the twinloop. The super turbo is not a straight thru design, but it does flow very well for being a chambered muffler, it has internal flow directors to help with flow. If you want to quite it down the most and the most flow, get the offset in/offset out, but it may be a little extra to get the output to line up. Our hondas tend to prefer center in/offset out.

you can get the non-dynomax versions, the sunmmitracing branded ones, w/o flow directors (but it is rumored that these are made by dynomax for summitracing) for $14.95 SUM-630122 and $16.95 SUM-630222.
I know many mustangs and other bigger engined cars use these turbo style mufflers at places like laguna seca and infineon raceway that have sound restrictions; this is on highly modified engines that move much more exhaust than our hondas do.

So you guys think i will loose power by going w/ an Si catback. My car only had stock exhaust for like 2 days, and i don't remember hows it felt. Any loss in mpg?
