Need soem radiator fan help :(
I have a 96 civic dx hatchback, just finished swapping the d16y7 to a 99 d16y8. I'm using the dx harness and temperaly running the dx ecu (no vtec I know). Everything runs straight except for the radiator fan. The thing doesn't come on, so had to hardwire it to battery just to keep engine cool. What can be the problem? Excuse the grammar and spelling, I'm tired.

Could be a temp sensor, fan relay, or a wiring problem somewhere. Did it work before you did the motor swap?
There may be an issue with the new sensor being incompatible with the old PCM, not sure though.

Yes the fan works when I hardwire to battery. Thanks for the suggestions, I really appreciate for the fast reply. Searching around h-t everyone pretty much saying the same thing.

i wired mine to my AC button so when the AC button is on the fan is on and i dont have air conditioning so i just leave it on...but if you dont want to be half *** like me then im guessing its the temp sensor
