Crappy POS's are not a no money spender....you'll have to fix something on them.
Just make sure it's a common crappy POS.

I have a 1988 buick la sabre as my winter/daily beater. Never had a problem with it knock on wood but I guess I'm lucky. I say get a POS never have to worry about it.

I want to get an old toyota pick up for a beater. Those things run forever, and I could haul a few things around.

You want to drift, huh? Put some trays under your rear wheels and lock the EB. That'll satisfy your urge, and once you wreck into something and freak cuz you're altezzas cracked, you'll realize maybe its not the route you want to go. Just kidding.
I agree about the old Toyota pickup. My grandpa has one with like 500k miles on it, and he hauls around drill bits for oil rigs to and from the airport daily, and exceeds the load capacity very often. Still runs like a champ. Or get an old Ford F-150 with the 300 inline 6, those things run forever, too.
