Default need real h22 advice......

Alright i spent a couple of hours searchig through the forums and trying to decide on what motor for my 94 3 door civic ex. I was orginally gonna do a b18 with turbo but now im thinking about a stock h22. The car is my daily driver and i will put some miles on the motor. Now here are my questions, How hard do civic really handle with a h22? i am debating wheather or not to do it my self, are they any good online how-tos? my biggest concer is the handling and how well the car and motor will do as a daily driver.

H22A will handle fine with the proper spring rates and good shocks. It probably wont be a crisp as a B18 but you would probably not notice the difference. Stock h22a in a civic would be a very fast car, faster than a gsr or type r hatch (ive got a friend who used to have a b18c5 and is now h22a) and he does not regret switcing over one bit.

i love the 2.2 but you can go just as fast with the b series. everything for the 2.2 is more money. not alot but thats one factor. the car will handle fine like Downeybear11 said with the right suspension. the 2.2 is fun to drive though, alot more tourquey if you want to call it that. but you will ahve to make the final decision on what you want to do and what you want out of the car.

Currently run a '93 CX w/JDM H22A. Runs fine. Lot's of torque. You can drive around all day, shifting at 2000rpms. If you like to haul around people, there's plenty of torque available. Finding parts for the H22A is difficult. Had to get most of my parts from the Dealer, so it'll get expensive. (unless you have hook-ups)

Only things I've done to the suspension: replaced stock front end suspension bushings with Energy Suspension ones. Car is lowered with Neuspeed Race Springs w/STOCK struts. Seems to be fine, for now. The racing season is coming to an end, the car is going into storage. Until spring.
