Need pic of a removed 92-95 Dash
Heya !
I am doing my best to win over a water leak since a while now. I've re-sealed several frame part. I dont want to remove the dash yet.
I'd like to have a pic of a removed dash (of the car w/o the dash, no the dash itself), close up of the lower left part (driver side) where the windshield meet the firewall.
Anyone can help me out ?
thanks
Pat

I've got my hatch stripped out at home, I can snap a few pics when I get home about 6 tonight. I can put them on we-todd or e-mail them, LMK

did you seal and replace the seals for the front cowl? it tends to leak over there and thru the HVAC system

its that plastic piece in front of the windshield that is designed to let air in for the HVAC system

Is it supposed to be sealed from the windshield side ? (between ws and the cowl)

Yes. its where the windshield wipers are covered by. it suppose to allow water to go down the front and then down the and suppose to go down the sides under the fender.. sometimes if you get alot of debris it cloggs it and floods the cowl area during heavy down pour. Or the seal that prevents water inside the hole where it goes into the blower motor is gone/destroyed

Don't be a sissy and just take out all the visible screws, use a pick and start pulling and massaging plastic pieces out. The carbon fiber stuff are face stickers and can be removed, but i suggest using the heatgun to soften it first.

that dash panel does not look like the cheezy stickers.. it looks like someone one made a carbon fiber peice for it.. those stickers are easy to pull off and you can look at them and tell its cheap. that looks good

Err, the carbon is Photoshop. It's not a real carbon.
My question is- how to take of that dash? I want to paint so I must take it of. Question is how? Where are all screws?

Re: (Oggy_EG4)
If you search you'd figure out how to take it out.
There's too many to mention on how to take out the dash.
For the piece around the cluster. There's two screws in the front and one behind the clock/hazard button. After those are out just pry it out with a flathead or whatever you wish to use.

Re: (HyBriDcxR)
Tnx.
I'm afraid there is some screw that is on such wierd position so it could be imposible to take of that dash without taking off the whole dash.

its possible.. just a PIA.. youll need a couple different sized screw drivers.. i think there is about 6-10 screws in there.. no clips only screws..
