Need new bushings for UCA, where to go?
My UCA busings are busted on both sides in the front. I tried searching for them online but I don't think they sell just the bushings sepreatly from Honda. Anyone know for sure? Or where else I can get them? Thanks

Prothane, EnergySuspension
Just make sure you put them in with lots of lube, they should be good...
The squeekyness that people complain about from poly bushings, is cause the lube went away... if you install it right the lube should stay on them for a long time...
if not, the poly lube is just marine grease...

Mine have been squeeking for ever and just got worse now, looked under and the busing on both sides were busted and a lot of greese on it. Might consider the ES bushings..

Re: Need new bushings for UCA, where to go? (DFW)
depends on the type of grease used...
some grease, petroleum based ones, can deteriorate certain types of bushings... just by eating them away...its a chemical thing, and i don't have any more info on that - not a chem major.
marine grease, isn't petroleum based....
also consider the age of the bushings.

http://www.stopshopanddrive.co...e.com thats for 92-95 civic and DC2 integra
i dont think 96-00 civic that bushing is availible seperately. easier to buy a whole new upper arm and its got a new balljoint too. Like $65/pair on ebay.

That's kinda expensive I might try to find used ones in good condition.

considering that new upper arms cost at least $70 each from honda, a pair of new ones for $69 is not bad at all, especially considering bushings would be roughly $7ea wholesale, and a new ball joint would be $30 ea wholesale...thats $45 roughly for just new bushings and a balljoint, plus the time and tools to press in and out the old and new. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...photo

I am running them on my 94 civic, with no problems, the rubber seems to be of the same quality as oem and the stamping were spot on to the original. I know that some of the auto-xers and HPDE/honda challenge cars bought from the canadian arm-can guy and used them with no problems as well, I think it was RJ with his integra or was is chad or someone with a blue si.

They sell replacement bushings, they aren't cheap. If you want cheap, get junk yard arms.
I just tend to buy new arms...

Re: Need new bushings for UCA, where to go? (DFW)
King sells Mugen bushings. Mugen bushings are really Honda bushings. Honda made some policy change to discontinue bushing sales and I suspect Mugen bought them all. So, the fit like stock.
