Default Need more information on 96-00 Civic Hatchbacks.

I was just wondering if anyone can lead me to a page where I can see what all was offered in these hatchbacks.... Including colors, power options, sunroof etc.....

One more thing, other than the new front end and dash setup, were there any other changes between the 96-98 and the 99-00 hatch?

Thanks in advance.

the 98-00 has the rear handle to open the hatch in which the 96-97 have the lever from the inside of the car

search is your friend. http://www.edmunds.com has all the options and prices. as for the changes, 99-00 got a different front end (hood, fenders, headlights, bumper, grill), red and clear tails instead of red/orange/clear, different center climate control, different back bumper, and obd2v2 instead of v1.

96-98 has a totally different front end then the 99-00. Also the tailights are different. Along with the Dash.

-Some (if not all) 96-98 hatches had light gray interiors whereas 99-00 hatches were dark gray on the inside.

-Later 6G hatches had a heavy side impact beam underneath the rear seats.

-Most have 14" wheels while some had 13" ones.

-Also OBD difference.

to better clarify this:

97-00 had the side impact beam

96-98 is OBD 2.0 and 99-00 is OBD 2.5 (not technical terms, but you get the idea.)

i can tell u everything u need to know about the EK 96-98 to 99-00 the 96-98 have amber corners for the tail lights and the 99-00 have the white corners, and for what the 96-98 have for the front end is the headlamps are more of a 30 degree angle shape and for the bumper its got a wide mouth so everything for the front is different u cant use them for a 99-00, for the 99-00 front clip their lights are more of a 40 degree angle that sharp bladed look and the bumper have scoops to a shorter width of the mouth, for the dash, the 96-98 have the generic switches to control your ac or heat for your climate control other then that it all look the same except for the dash climate control part, for the 99-00 they have a twist *** to control the climate control thats all about it and think about swaping the whole dash out to the 99-00 you better think it over again, its a pain in the ***, i read about them so complicated my opinion is dont try to swap the dash to the 99-00 but i have saw one that is done, anything can be done if u have the moo-la, queen pads, denarow, doh, cash money, thank you and have a nice day

it's actually not all that hard. you have to switch the heater box, center console, and dash wiring. it'd take you a day of work at the very most. you have to take out the dash, the cluster out of the dash, center console out of the dash, and the heater box underneath the dash.
