Default Need a little help deciding.

I went to a Local Junk yard and the owner said he has a USDM GSR for sale. The motor currently has 36,000 miles on it he said. Also, he said that the motor is still in the car. For the complete swap, he is asking 3,200. I have not seen the car yet, I will be going tommorow to look at it. If the car can start, I will be doing a compression check and leak down.

Do you all think this is a reasonable price?

Not when you can get a complete, working, steam cleaned engine with a warranty from Hmotorsonline for only 3150 + shipping to your door

Yeah that does seem high.

If you have the money I would go with that site.

i dont like junkyard motors cause god knows how long its been there and what has been done to it.

A guy i know bought an eclipse motor from a junkyard. and there were some high school punks that were in the yard earlier that day and they put all kinds of **** in the motor and he didnt know it. took it home and found glass rocks dirt and fuses sitting on top of the pistons. so just watch what u buy
