Re: need to know if there is such a thing as a p3p ecu? (pat92si)
on the side of the ecu its got serial numbers and in between those numbers it says p3p i know that there is a p2p ecu but, i want to know something i have a 90 civic hatchback si, the engine was swapped for a b16a from a 94 honda del sol but im not sure if it has the ecu form the del sol or the old civic, so i want to find out how to determine that?

Re: need to know if there is such a thing as a p3p ecu? (Mr Hammond)
sorry, my bad i read the code wrong the last time that i took the ecu out, i still have a problem though, my vehicle wont pass emissions, its running to rich, ive replaced everything to correct the problem, except for the ecu, ive had mechanics, other shops and even emissions tell me that it is probably the ecu, now, i need to know if the pr3 for 89-91 jdm b16a is what its making it run to rich? remember the eng is from a 94 honda del sol. if anyone knows you would be a great help.

Re: need to know if there is such a thing as a p3p ecu? (morenoesrider)
Well you are running an OBD-0 ECU in and OBD-1 car. Which won't do **** for your 4-wire O2 sensor. Also, it will not flash a CEL which is why you have none. They were stored in the ECU. That's what the peep hole is for. So you really have no working O2 signal going to the ECU so of course the car is going to run rich as ****. You need to put the correct ECU in there.
