Its simple.

Same wire harness.

Add VTEC wires. VTEC Pressure and VTEC Solenoid, and the ground. EXTREMELY simple. add them to the harness, and run through the firewall under the battery. Pin them into the ECU.

http://hybrid.honda-perf.org

Check the tech section for ECU pinout locations.

When your changing the harness, LABEL the plugs and where they go. Many of the ones at the intake manifold/throttle body area are the same plugs, but if you mix them up the car will run like ***.

He'd still have to add the wires on the engine harness part of the plug on the shock tower. Vtec is only prewired on the firewall side part of the plug.

uhh...correct me if i'm wrong but the ECU that comes with the d15b7 is non vtec ECU meaning that even if you run your vtec wires from the silenoid to the ECU your vtec wont kick in.....the only way is to get a p28 ECU cause it has vtec

he has to get a p28 ecu, the harness that runs from the ecu to under the hood is already vtec wired (on that year correct me if im wrong) he just has to run the wires from there to the sensors. so you need to go to a junk yard and get the 2 sensors you need and cut them off. heres bauley write up all you pretty much need is section #5 https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=635580

Your right. that ecu doesnt have vtec. p28 is the one to get.

the new sensors are already on his new engine. he doesnt need to go to the junkyard for that.

Yes, it will still run with that ecu. Best bet it to find a Z6 harness and use it, then it's plug and plan. No wiring.

yeah your car will run, not that great but it will run. he dont need the whole harness. he just needs 2 clips off of a civic ex harness or si hatch, then he has to solder 3 wires(very easy).

talk to the uberdata guys. when i was reading about chipping the p28, i think i read that u could chip ur current non-vtec ecu to perform like a p28 with vtec and stuff.
