What year and model of car and what type of radiator do you have? OEM or aftermarket?

you talking about the Fan?
just rewire it to a difference powersource.
hook it straight to the power and put a fuse/circuit breaker and a switch between it.
So you could control when the fan turn on/off.
I don't know if it's going to throw a cel... Probably not.

If you do it correct it shouldn't throw a CEL

the bigger problem might be why your car is heating up like that. if your motor is in good working condition you shouldnt have to have the fan running that much. anyways one wire is a ground and run the other to a power source. run a switch inside the car if you want
