Do you have the EX main chassis firewall harness ?
I believe you have to remove the dash..I had a friend who did this swap in his 00 EK.

Re: need help wiring up (poison)
the wiring doesnt even go under the dash. its just the 2000 ex harness doesnt plug up to my 97 hb when the wiring goes thru the back seats.. it will plug into my fuse box and all of that just fine. but i think i need to cut and resolder some of the wires to make it work right

Your best bet is to search around archived then, and verify wires, and wire the configuration to a stock 96-98 Civic EX, then.

Man, you seem to have made this more confusing than I had. All I did was swap to 2000 Si doors, which is almost the same as you. Then my buddy took the stock harness from the door and cut the plug off and ran the wires under the dash. He used a wiring diagram to see which wires would connect to what in relation to the wires under the dash and the wires he ran from the door. Sorry I didn't do this first hand but it took him less than two hours. Any good audio/security shop should be able to do this for you.

Re: need help wiring up (JUN EK9)
does anyone know if there are any big wiring changes from 96-98, to 99-00? cuz im going to cut and resolder all the wires so the color matches up. and i dont want to realize that i hooked up all the wires to all the wrong spots and make my car blow up or something.
