Im going to help a friend swap a obd1 b16 into his 2000 ej8. Some have told me the wiring is going to be a bitch. I have already had him get the harness to convert obd2->obd1 on the ecu. Now im hearing people say the actual harness in the engine bay needs to be all rewired also. Can anyone give me some knowledge on this? Or what all I need to know about the wiring and installing the motor.

BTW I havnet got to search yet, I have class in 10 mins and short on time I do plan on searching some after classes today.

all u need is the p28 computer and the conversion harness. if its a d 16y8 thats all u need

yeah its going from d16y8 to jdm b16 (obd1)

I have already told him to get the harness. Just wanted to make sure the harness on the wirewall is the same too Thanks for the reply

i swapped a obd1 gsr into my ej8 and used the ej8 engine wiring harness with a jumper harness for the ecu
