Need help wiring d16y8
If there is anyone in NC that is familiar and knows a lot about the wiring for emissions and the distributor, i would like to pay an experienced person that has done this before. I am trying to connect the harness that plugs up from the secondary o2 sensor. I was told i have the wrong distributor and need that in order for one of the plugs to connect. I am willing to pay. Also looking for someone to be a buddy where we can help each other.
Most of the honda enthusiasts around me are cocky little punks that think their ride with a cat back and racing rims is the baddest ride ever. So again, i am located in NC near Southern Pines, Aberdeen, Pinheurst and Rockingham. If there is anyone in NC that would allow me to bring my car and purchase everything necessary and pay you to compensate for your time i would greatly appreciate the help and a new buddy to talk "Honda" with.

If you have the wrong distributor why don't you just get the correct one? What distributor do you have? And what is "wiring for emissions" anyway?
My suggestion? Swallow your pride, bite the bullet and pay one of those "cocky little punks" to help you. Their cars are running. Yours isn't. Either that or take it to a proper mechanic.

Re: Need help wiring d16y8
My car is running. Just not at its full potential. I am trying to figure how to wire up the secondary o2 sensor harness. I know that the rectangular plug from it goes to the distributor. The distributor has one big plug and it should have 2.
Basically i need to figure out whether or not i truly need a different distributor and where those 3 wires plug in from the secondary o2 sensor harness. I was missing an iat sensor and gong to install it today.

What car? What wire harnesses do you have?
An unplugged secondary O2 sensor would have no effect on engine performance. It only monitors whether the cat is working properly.
