Need help with what VSS to buy
I am looking to buy a new vss for my d16y7 but am not quite sure what to get.
How do I know if I need just the VSS or the VSS w/ gear?
I know that the gears for auto vs manual are diff but are the VSS's?
Would this work? The wording is hard to understand, obviously an Asian company
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1996-00-Hond...2fce0e&vxp=mtr
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1993-93-HOND...6265e7&vxp=mtr
Or this one? Says it fits the y8 so should work with y7 right?
Or should i go to the pick and pull and get OEM, tryin to get something cheap but not complete junk.
Thx in advance

Get an OEM VSS. If you can't afford a brand new one from the dealership, rip one out of a junk yard. There's no reason to risk it with car electronics.

Yes, you want the full gear assembly.
As far as what cars you can rip one out of, the part number is 78410-S04-901. here is a list of cars that use the same part number.

I don't know enough about the VSS to say yes or no to that, I'm only cross referencing part numbers to give you an exact match. A quick search on Google says an EG VSS will work, but you might have to modify one of the legs.
Personally, I would stick with exact match and fix it the right way.
