Blazin Civic

The setup is a D15B sohc vtec with factory LSD tranny, clutchmasters stage 4, greddy 92-95 turbo kit and greddy intercooler. For some reason when I am getting to the top of 1st and 2nd (haven't taken third to redline yet) I am getting a weird almost loud ticking noise. It almost sounds like im getting a form of high speed wheel hop. Like an noise an axel would make. Any idea what this could be?

check your hanger bearing. Jack your car up and spin the driverside wheel by hand and watch the hanger bearing to see if it walks from side to side.

Where exactly is the bearing? I'm kinda new to the whole working on cars besides stereo systems thing.

Yeah, i'm getting a weird ringin sound when I hit like 7000 on my B16a. I can definitely fee when vtec is engage at around 4-5xxx and when it hits around 7-8xxx miles, i hear a weird ringing sound. Is it possible that no enough oil on the vtec lobe?

^^^ No i'm not kidding. it does ring like friction(metal touching metal) or somthing like that. I remember I took out the vtec solenoid and cleaned it out with break cleaner. Not sure if that's is safe. Then agian the noise could be comming from my one Legged LS dizzy.
