Default Need Help w/ Smog...

Alright heres the deal...I have a 96 civic hatchback thats obd2, the stock header has a catalytic converter attached to it w/ two O2 sensors....I put a DC header on with a 96-00 civic ex catalyctic converter...I had to use an ex cat because I needed the second 02 sensor to be in the cat....Well I jus did my smog and they said i didn't pass because on my cat....I went to a muffler shop and they said that a cat with an 02 sensor hole will be $500-$600...This sound like a ripe off...Has anyone run into this problem...where can I get a cat that has an O2 hole in it...Please help!!!!

you can tell someone to weld an o2 bung in there before or after the cat. also i went to an exhaust shop thy wanted ridiculous amont of money for the cat they say obd2 cats are expensive but just buy it on ebay a carsound cat with 2 o2 bungs if its new it should pass smog. you should be able to get them for real cheap like 40 50 bucks without the flanges and not sure if it would fit so flanges plus welding could end up being a lot depending if u got a welder supplies if u got hook up or not. smsp or kteller8 are the usernames of guys that can get you a cat with flanges and can most likely make it to fit your application but it would be around 80-100 buck or so. good luck mang. so u dont have the stock cat. i mite not understand the question still but o well.
