Default Need help, Tried searching....OBD1 B18B1 swap into a 96 EX.

K, I've tried searching multiple topics and really have nothing to show for it. Here's my problem, I have a friend with a OBD1 B18B1 swap (full swap) that I'm going to buy for my 96 civic EX coupe. What do I need????

He has a LS swap in his EG and said he is going to to give me all his stuff also, like mounts, axles.

But what I need to know is what else will I need? Will his axles work? Will his mounts work? Linkage? ODB1-OBD2 conversion? Injectors? ECU? (I think he's throwing his OBD1 ECU in also) Other things?

I appreciate the help and I tried searching, but no luck.

Thanks

you need a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness for his ecu, his axles should work fine, shift linkage should work also. you need a b16 99-00 rear bracket mount and i believe u can use your stock mount from your ex civic. if u still want to keep your ac you will need a del sol b16 ac bracket in order to keep your stock ac. injectors for both of those cars are the same cc's, so u either will have to cut and solder or rewire for now the injector clips which ever one you plan to use. i think thats it.

This is NickW on a friends account.

Thanks for the info. Anyone else have anything to help me out? This is my first swap and converting OBD1-OBD2 and vise versa kinda scares me.

Did some research and founf some stuff out.

LS stock axles should work correct?
I can use my stock EX ECU with a jumper harness right?
I can use the stock injectors out of my EX right?
Need an Si rear motor mount correct?

Someone help me out here, correct those if they are wrong and anything else I should know about.

Use the LS ECU, LS injectors, and '99-'00 rear mount. If you're getting the whole motor, why would you swap parts around on it? Just buy the OBD conversion harness and plug it in- shouldn't be much other wiring
