Default Need help on tire size

Does anybody know what size tire I should run oN my ej. It's slammed on some coils in the front and springs on the rear. I just got some 15s from a friend and te tire size is 195-65-15, anybody think that would fit or should I go smaller tire size? Let me know guys I want to put these oN I'm tired of riding on steelies

I used to have 15" Rota Circuit 8s on my EJ1 and they fit fine, I used 205/50/15 Toyos with them.

I run 205/50/15 and my car is lowered a bit, 1.5-2 inches. I think 195/65 will be too tall, 195/55 will be about the same height as the steelies and as 205/50.

Seeing as your on coil overs it's not like you couldn't raise it to work

It's definitely taller than stock by at least 35 mm so if they fit your speedo will read wrong, but you can raise your car like Hill4589 said and/or just try it, wheels are easy to change.

Not slammed, I don't care for a car thats slammed. I lowered roughly 2" on the front and 1 3/4" on the rear.

65 series tires will be too poofy, even the stock teggy tires that come on the GsR are 195 55/15.

Most do the 195 50/15 or 205 50/15.

Why do I get this feeling that the only reason that your looking at 195 65/15 is because their cheap???

It's going to look funny with a 195/65/15, especially if you're going to try to dump it. I ride on 15s, one set has 205/50/15s (SI wheels) the other set has 195/50/15s (GSR wheels) and they both look great. I did have them on my Integra and slammed the hell out of it and it looked amazing, it just rode like crap.

From the wheel/tire FAQ:

For a CRX, del sol, del sol Si, or pre-'96 Civic, the following sizes are usually best:

13" - 175/70-13
14" - 185/60-14, 195/55-14
15" - 195/50-15
16" - 205/40-16, 195/45-16

These are the "correct" sizes for your car even though many people run 205/50 and 195/55 without problems. the 195/65 you have will not fit and are not the right tire for your vehicle. the narrower 195 will probably be better for a "slammed" setup as it will give you more clearance to "tuck" the tire if thats what your into

i put 195/55/15 on mine one time (cause they were free) and those were too "poofy"

195/65 would be over kill i think

do it right, make it look right.
