Default Need help. Relocated battery.

I just blew a 5 dollar big 40amp fuse after finishing up my battery relocation. The one that has blown is going to starter and I cant crank it over. Im using a distribution block. Anybody know what I should do? should I get a stronger fuse? If so which type.

I labeled each wire wrong the fuse box and starter are switched.

I have some 10 gauge wire. Maybe run some of that from A-B?

i wouldnt use a fuse set up id go with a circuit breaker near the battery. this way you could just flip it back instead of payng for a fuse everytime. if you want keep the fuse block up in the engine bay and run to your two pionts from that.

I've already gone through putting the fuse box in the cabin its going to stay there haha. I'm just going to run the wire instead of having a fuse there but have a circuit break would be a good idea. I'm out of money so the wire will have to do for now.

I'm having slightly the same issue and want to bring this thread back. I have a relocated battery and sometimes when trying to start my car, the inline 80amp fuse i have at the battery blows. Only when trying to start car, and the starter will sound weak.

Advice. The long running Shaved and Tucked thread has tons of people that have relocated batteries successfully. I'm sure you could find your answers in that thread rather than bumping this old one.
