i dont own a b16 i am a sohc person, but my friend is asking me if he needs to take apart his tranny to change a seal that runs over the input shaft driver side axel, because tranny fluid is leaking there, please let me know real quick because i want to give him a answer, but i am about to leave on a roadtrip to florida thanks guys

are you asking about the seal where the cv axle goes in?? and on what side?

it just started leaking, he is sure it is not the axle

there is a seal I believe in between the axle and the tranny. That is really the only place it would leak. I dont think you need to remove the tranny but you will need to remove the axle.
