Need Help Please with drivetrain problem
I bought a 98 civic ex that is had an auto to manual swap. The problem i've been trying to solve is a shaking when taking off in first or reverse. It is even more noticeable when starting on a hill, but isnt noticeable after you're moving. Here is what i have done so far to try and solve the problem and still no f*ckin luck.
Replaced clutch with Exedy Stage III Clutch, Pressure Plate, TO Bearing, Pilot Bearing, Lightened Flywheel
I've replaced EVERY f*cking motor mount with factory mounts and added the inserts to make everything solid and YES i have swapped to the correct passenger side tranny bracket on it as well as put in all MT motor mounts.
The motor now doesnt give at all with all of that done, and i STILL have jeking/shaking problems when starting from a dead stop. I inspected the passenger cv axle when i did the clutch and everything looked fine. I have NOT checked the driver side. The only two things i can possibly come up with is that either it is the CV axle on the driver side or transmission. I am asking for any good input as to what you think is causing it. Any help you can give would be much appreciated.
