I have a 96 JDM B18(R) in my 96 Civic Hatchback and of course the JDM P73 ECU will not communicate with the Emissions testing equipment due to the language barrier
I have searched high and low for a US Spec P73-A02 ecu in order to pass the inspection but those things are harder to find than a needle in a haystack. I have done some research and can not find another way to get it to read aside from putting in a 98 spec US P73 and throwing a bunch more money/effort into it. Is there any other ECU (aftermarket or stock) that will run this motor long enough to pass inspection while communicating with their equipment? BTW: Im in PA, and car is registered in one of the counties that requires emissions testing

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as of now Im thinking of just selling it to avoid the headache

why wont they just toss it on the rollers? thats what they do in ohio when they cant read it.

I think part of it is I have tried to deal with three retarded inspection stations. From what I have read if they can not communicate with the ECU they are supposed to perform a tail pipe test or road test, but all three stations I have talked to/taken my car to they are unwilling to do so.
