Default need help with overheating.. check this out

Alright, when i come to a stop in my 98 ex civic, sometimes it'll start heating up, but when i give it gas it'll cool back down. It's a 5-spd, and i've already replaced the radiator, the thermastat TWICE, the coolant completely full, the oil's fine, no water in the heads, no white smoke out the pipe, nothin. the fan appears to be kickin on an **** jsu fine, but i jus can't figure it out! help! lol thanks guys

mine did the same thing for awhile. 2 suggestions:
1. check coolant level, if its low that will help.
2. upgrade to a larger radiator or more efficient fan, or get a cooler thermostat.

good luck, hope this helps a little

well mine it was low coolant, there appears to be a small leak somewhere, i just check it periodically.

Something to consider, is that your can might not be able to pull a large enough volume of ait through to keep you cool at a stop. this depends on what kind of mods you ahve done to your car. consider upgrading. what do you have done?

Why did you make a second thread? The other one is only a few posts down.
