Need help with OEM fogs on a 97 civic
Just picked up a set of OEM fogs for my 97 civic. Cant figure out how they mount to the bumper. They are the rectangle ones, not the circle ones. Anyone have any pics of them mounted on the bumper? Can they mount to any civic bumper for that year or are they bumper specific?
thanks...... here is a pic of what they look like:

Re: (hybridej7)
if they are the sqaure ones they should have come with the mounting hardware. you cut out where they go in, but leave the top little peice of plastic still in and then there are some mounting claps, that go on eachside of the top piece of the plastic . thats about it. did they come with instructions? good luck

Re: (hybridej7)
Depot are as close to OEM as you can get without paying the riduculous price. They work great. For those who are interested in finding a set, Eaby dawg, for 60 something bux. Can't beat it. All hardware, wiring harness, switch, and instructions are included.
Give me a second post and I'll help you get these bad boys mounted, just wanted to help out those who want some OEM look a like fogs too.

Re: (ice11honda)
this is your driver side light.
First you will need to cut out the middle piece of the grill on each side where the lights will be placed. Only cut that piece that runs parallell to the ground. Do not cut out any other part of your grill. The black bracket you have in the pic I copied is for the other light (pass. side), and the light in this pic is the driver side light. The black bracket is upside down. The brass piece is upside down too, but that is okay right now we'll go with this. Take the bracket in this pic and set it on top of the brass piece just the way you have them in the pic. Now take 2 screws and get them started so the pieces become one. Now flip it over cuz remember it is upside down, and slide the brass piece over the lip of the grill in the back side of your bumper on the pass. side while the black piece stays under the lip of the grill. Tighten the screws all the way and the brackets should tighten together to squeeze on the lip of your grill. These 2 pieces come together and clamp onto the lip of the grill behind your bumper. If you notice the light has a curved lip on the top of it. This for a long screw that goes throught the 2 aligned holes in the black metal bracket. Then there is an arm type piece that comes down from the top of the light where the little lip I just pointed out is, and it has a hole for a screw that goes through the black metal bracket that also has an arm that hangs down with a hole in it for the samme screw. Screw the bracket to the light. Repeat these steps for the driver side. If youneed pics I will gladly pull out my bracket to give you a better look at what I'm saying. Good luck.

I don't know for sure, but judging from your picture I would have to say they wouldn't fit.

here ya go my honda brotha. This first pic is the part of the grill you will be cutting out.
these next 2 pics are the bracket for the driver's side and how it goes together
another pic of it together
now the placement
remember slide the brass piece over the lip of the grill and the black part under and then tighten screws all the way down to cause the pieces to clamp together.
hang the light on the bracket via long screw you are missing with lip on light
now screw the light to the bracket by like so
and a pic from behind the light while attatched, bad pic I know
final product
now complete the pass side an waaaalaaaa
good luck bro
