need help!!!!!!my motor took a poop
ok guys heres the scoop i just put on a 50shot on my b16(not smart for a stock motor)well i went to test it out and it was nice!!!!!!! for the first couple of runs. then we got trigger happy and hit it in 4th and held it in to 5th hit 120 and turned it off(not smart again)right after that it felt like it had no power and started to smoke real bad out of me exhaust(it was white)so i pull over to see what the hell it was and it was running like ****. i called a couple of ppl and they all told me it could be 3 things.1 a blown head gasket. 2 cracked sleeve. 3 i fried my piston rings.please tell me what you guys think i need all the help i can get an tell me if i shoud keep the nitrous or sell it, i think i just used it wrong but i dont know any thing about nitrous so please help me thanx

I bet your rings and ring lands are toast. I would really like to see the top of one of your pistons. ( I bet they're as pitted as a 16 year old's face)

i am tomorrow. but just to let yall know i have oil coming out my exhaust if i did not already say that. and im not to good with motors so if you can tell me what to do to fix it and its not over heating i drove it for like 2 to 3 miles to get home

I would definitely start by pulling the head, but I am 99% sure your problem lies deeper in the block. I hope you have another car to drive, because this one is gonna sit in the garage for awhile. Nitrous+noob=2500 lb. paperweight.

Sorry, it sounds like your motor is in a better place now. Look for a cheap d-series replacement, or a new block.

i took off the head today and found the prob. it was a broke piston. so i got some ctr one today but i dont know if i need any thing to do it or can i just drop them in. some one told me i might need a thicker head gasket b/c the dome on them are biger so can you guy let me know what i need to do to make these work in my b16a2.

they should just drop in..since your going to take your motor apart...check the honing lines if there still there...if not hone it..change the rings and bearings..

You "broke a piston"? Please explain to me how that works. And if you did kill your rings and/or threw a rod, it is not gonna be a matter of just throwing in a new piston. Chances are your cylinder wall looks like a cheese grater. (mmm, cheese.)

ok check it out i came across some ctr pistons and rings for 200 bux good deal or bad deal? i can get a jdm b16A bare block for 60 bux,good deal or bad deal? can i just take all the internals and externals from my b16a2 and put them in the jdm b16a motor. when i put in the crt pistons i was told that i need to do a valve adjustment for a larger dome on the ctr pistons. uhhhh...would it be better to get the jdm block or just hone out my b16a2 block?

head gasket was good.head looks ok just needs to be clean from all the burnt oil im thinking of haveing it rebuild and getting it port and polished. little question should the ctr pistions be light like under a pound a peace? i think they might way a 1/4 or 1/2 a pound to be truthful they feel cheap but yea i dont know that much about this stuff so thanx for all your help and please keep it all postst comming

the only reason i got ctr pistions is b/c its the only one i could get my hands on asap. yes i could have waited for some to come in the mail or untill some one ine my area had some for sell but this is my only car and need it fixed asap and yes i do think useing nos was stupid on my part but every one has to learn some how right now i know and want do that again

man this trial thing sucks...lol ok guys im thinking of going ls/vtec with my ctr pistions and geting a port and polish on my head plus i have to get it milled what all will i need i mean every little thing to make it work and to do it right. i found a ls block for 200bux just lmk what you think
