Do a wire tuck, If you go to Honda Tunings website they have a step by step guide on the best way to do it.

yeah, it is sort of sad you can't find the faqs..

Just shrink wrap the motor in the bay. Support the engine on some blocks or something, and just wrap it up in the bay, that way you can disconnect everything and not worry about having to pull the motor.

and um, go to the main page for this forum, go to the top it says FAQ's (which is short for frequently asked questions)
there is a walk through to removing axles...

there's a couple of ways to take the axles out.

First Way:

passenger side:

the easiest way but takes a little longer is to unbolt the axle nut(32 mm) then just unbolt the fork bolt, and the other three bolts that connect the control arm or whatever that arm is and move it out of the way so the axle can then be pulled out. dont yank on the axle too much or you can mess up the bushings. get a pry bar or something to try and pry between where the axle and tranny meet.

as for driver side:
Same as passenger but....
unbolt the three bolts where the midaxle bolts to the block!
should come out fairly easy compared to the passenger side!

Second Way:

Easy only if your castle nut bolt from under the spindle comes off easily.

Passenger side:

Unbolt the axle nut(32 mm)
unbolt the fork nut and bolt
pry the axle out as stated above.

Driver side:

same as passenger but....
unbolt the three bolts where the midaxle bolts up to the block!

there might be a little detail that i might not have added but pretty much the gist of it all!

or you can drive all the way up to CT and ill do it for you for only 3 easy payments of 1 BILLIONS DOLLARS!

So, let me get this right. You have an H22 swapped civic and you don't know how to take axles out?
AND you want to paint your engine bay flat black, just like every other dumbass that paints engine bays? At least to id gloss black. Flat black looks great for about 20 minutes. Then you get something on it or scratch it, and it's all down hill.

Do yourself a favor and just do a wire tuck. You'll thank me after you see a few flat black engine bays on other daily drivers. They always look like crap after a few months.

Just take the cotter pin out and take out the lower ball joint nut and the axle nut - then it pulls right out.

take out the ac lines on the by the passenger strut tower... you don't have ac you don't need them

second i would remove every piece of that red lum... imo nothing looks worse when trying to do a wire tuck then colored lum...

just pull the harness out put black lum on it and then tape it up if you want it to look really clean

change the radiator hoses to black also.

you could paint your valve cover if you want it to stand out if you want it smooth you can use aircraft remover to pull everything off... then paint with heat paint

also you can hide that pasenger side headlight harness wire by runing it below the frame (zip tie it along the way so that it isn't just dangling loose somewhere)

then last but not least when you put the harness back in just make sure you hide as many wires as possible, and you can take some cleaning suppy and clean grease and dirt off your engine bay... these steps will make it look much better imo

Took me about 15 seconds. What's your problem other than being snippy?
