well i've been on the same boat for a while, now i started painting a few pieces but noticed that the paint didn't really stick. what brand of paint did you use? any hints? i want to try this my self. thanks

Look up interior DIY's, almost all tell what to buy and have pics of what the cans looks like. If the paint is not sticking, you must have not prepped properly. read the DIY!

the DIY tint job is hit and miss. A friend of mine had his interior start fading in a few months, but he's hardcore on cleaning so he's constantly wiping the dash and doors. plus he parks in the sun and during the summer we have 100+ day. Then there have been other people that don't get fade for years. Just treat the panels nice and they'll last a long time.

Invest in adhesion promotor, best stuff to make paint stick, as well as surface paint prep/wax & grease remover. Use the two in conjunction with one another. You could also pay one of those touch up places or an interior/trim shop to do it for you as well.
