i have a b16 swapped in my 98 hatch it was running off my p30 mugen spec ecu no prob i had the idle set at about 1000rpm and it idled great i swapped the ecu for a p28 skunk2 ecu and set the idel at 1000 again only now it starts that searching idle crap where it drops then goes up between 1050 - 700 i turned the idle screw down to 700rpm and it went away i know the p28 has the extra sensor for cold starts and that sometimes causes the same situation on obd2 b16 as im experiencing except that this happens at both cold start and fully warmed idle any help would be great

check your idle air control valve

its hooked up and i cleaned it not too long ago but ill check it again thanks

Try resetting the ecu.

done that several times hasnt helped at all
