need help identifying problem boost d16y8

i have a buddy with a 2000 civic ex boosted with a 1st gen eclipse 14b turbo DIY-style. we broke a sensor behind the block where we tapped the oil feed line in and decided to run the car for a while without replacing it a new one right away. after 20 miles of normal driving the car made a clanging sound like it came from the block and than it felt like the clutch was starting to slip or the engine felt really weak. we pulled over and turned the car off and try starting it again. the car had ignition trouble (weak start) and later after 3-4 times after cranking it the car made no sound but a click and a little spinning sound. we cant get the car to start up anymore after that. we tried putting in a working starter/dizzy/ecu/battery/push(roll) start and it did not start up.
Things we havent tried because it is too expensive to get incase its not the problem are:clutch/flywheel,new engine harness, alternator and replacing a ground wires.

the questions are:
have anyone ever encounter this and knows what might be problem?
what is that sensor behind the y8 block? the only sensor that is inches above the oil filter.
any suggestion on what we should do to get it to start-up again?
i know some people might suggest that we just do a b-swap but we would like to stick with the d-series since it is cheap, easy to work on and good on gas especially with an economy like ours now a days sucks.

Possibly...Oil pressure sensor?

Have you checked the oil level?

How far did you drive the engine with it making this ''noise''?

how long was the car boosted for? what kind of engine management?

it sounds like you broke the oil pressure sensor, no big deal, it wont kill your car(unless you have no oil)
