ok so hears the deal its a h22 eg and it sounds like a subaru when you are driving first i installed a injector resistor box my friend told me that might be the problem but it didnt fix it and yes its running on all 4 cylinders what else could be wrong its a h22a1 with rmf replica header 2.5 exhaust running on stock p28 ecu and not sure if the balance shaft have been removed or not by the previous owner so where do i go next with this? please help thanks

well a subaru sound would be coming from something that isnt running on all 4 or a compression problem i would check all the connections im not familiar with the resitor box because i chose to go obd2 with my obd0 swap but from the sounds of it it seems like something is either not having the right compression not getting spark or not getting fuel

i will do a compression check then it dosent blow any smoke maybe get a new rotor and spark cap?? also someone told me that p28 ecu is not the right one to use with h22

oh yeah the ECU has to be from a Prelude due to the wiering for somereason honda decided to wire cars compleatly diff from each other instead of make it easy lol. It may be the fact that the particular ECU isnt wired for that motor and the injectore that is supposed to have power to it does not due to the differnt pin locations

i will look into that too i thing im just gona borrow my buddys ecu and see if it fixes the problem and go from them

Wrongly adjusted valves will do it to but ecu definetely needs changed, p28's are for sohc's

im gona get a new ecu this weekend and i put new ignition rotor and cap and see if it fixes the problem

Chip your ECU and tune it if you can't get a hold of the lude's ecu.

im just gona look for a chipped p28 i think im gona order one in few days off pharable.com herd their **** is pritty legit
