Need help with h22a
OK I might pic. up this Delsole with h22a in it. There is 2 problems with it. First, is the trans, he says that it goes in to gear ok (1.2.3.4.5) but when you try to reveres, it is really hard to get in to and when it goes in it is really hard to get out like have to push it out. The next is the ecu. It is a p28 he says that when you hit over 4k the car spuders and dies, on him.. He says that the chip is cracked. His story is that he put everything in checked the wiring harness. Pulled out the ecu left it out for a bit, then put it back in. Still did not work and then he checked it and the chip was craked.
So what do you all think about the trans and I have a f22 trans will that mount up. And about the ecu…. What other ecu’s are out there that will rune a obd1 h22a and does any one have for sale (I know this is not the market place.. sorry) and if the chip is cracked can I still rune a dieo on the car. Or will I need to put in a new ecu to fig if there is anything thing els wrong with the car. I have a p28 virgin in my car can I pull it to run the dieo, and this will sound dumb but where is my ecu in a 94 civic coup, and how hard is it to pull.
post or pm me thx

is it hard to shift in and out of reverse while the motor is not running too? As far as the ecu, he needs to try a chip that isn't cracked, thats a no-brainer.

Re: Need help with h22a (tial-eg)
well if you get it my h22a ek hatch has that problem every now and then with the reverse and what i did was put i got in reverse and drove in reverse for a little bit then it wasn't very hard to get out i put it in and out a couple times then i had no problems maybe it might work for you.
ecu: well do you have a conversion harness in it to obd 1 if so get a p72 ecu and chip it. best advise, you gotta pay if you wanna play.
and your ecu in your 94. passenger side under the glovebox on the side wall.
your lucky most ppl just say search

gear ratio is to long on the f22 tranny if you want to swap the tranny get a m22b4 if im not mistaken that the lsd tranny for h series unless you plan to go turbo then the f22 tranny would work good

its an h22 being controlled by a p28, get the h22 ecu and you shouldnt have problems with the over 4k die thing, and my friends h22 eg has the same problem with reverse, just go 1st then reverse that helps usually
