IDK but i do know that hose doesnt hook onto the lil pipe in the first picture. Its not flexible enough to turn backwards

In your first pic you have the hose next to a nipple on the throttlebody. It should run thru the nipple to the other side then to the iacv or fitv as is the case.

It is to warm up the throttlebody when cold

Are you certain SMOGMAN?

I initially had something else going into that nipple that fit more appropriate it was a line that went to the intake tube...

he's correct. it goes through the bypass under the throttlebody, into the iacv, and then drops down and drains into the coolant pipe on the back of the engine.

I guess you missed the last part of my post.

It does not go into the throttlebody I guess you would say it run's next to it! It is not putting coolant into the manifold.

When you pull cold air in thru the throttlebody it will freeze or almost freeze when it is cold out. Igniting cold air with fuel in it is harder than warmed up air. This passage is there just to warm up the throttlebody so it will warm up the air a little as it passes through.

Is the hose leaking or is the throttlebody (TB for short) I would use fuel hose if you need to replace the hose. I believe it to be 3/8" inside diameter.

Did you move your distributor? It does sound like there is some friction going on. How did you tighten the timing belt? It does sound like the battery is down on power too.

The stroke/compression sounds even, which is a good thing.

smogman, I tried to jump start my battery, I changed the spark plugs, I changed the spark plug wires.

How would moving the distributor effect the starting? the reason i ask is because theres only one way the distributor will fit on the head. I did take the distributor off when i went to change heads. I put it back the only way it fit.

Thanks for ur response

The starter is laboring to crank the engine. Charge the battery and then go from there.

Does the starter now crank the engine rapidly and the engine won't start? If so, check for spark and priming of the fuel pump. Any CEL codes?

the crank seems to have more power than it did before after the battery charge but as i keep trying to turn it over repeatidly it gets lower on power its not as strong of a crank when i keep doing it..Tihs morning i tested the spark plugs from the old motor to a ground...and not one of them sparked at all, then i tried testing the spark plugs from the newer motor and still nothing...Maybe im doing it wrong but it make no sense for the plugs to be bad when they all worked before i pulled the motors do u get what i mean?

What's next....

Yeah the STarter is turning the crank repidly and no it will not fully start...what is that an indication of? Yes i do get a CEL. I think it does prime when i turn the key to the on position i can here the pump.

What's the CEL code(s)?

If you have a 98-00 Civic and the fuel pump definitely primes, then check whether dash fuse 9 is blown.

If this helps, I broke a knock sensor but from what i've researched that wouldnt make the car not turn over.
