Default need help on figuring out my wiring for engine swap?

ok here is my question i bought a civic with b16 in it from the insurance company. now i want to know since its my first time doing a engine swap. so i want to know is after disconnecting all the plugs and bolts off the engine if need to take the whole harness from where it starts off the ecu or do i just diconnect the three main ones close to the battery and is that all that i need ? cause what i did does not look right at all . i took every wire out of the fire wall and now i got a big mess so does any one know if i just need to unplug the three by the battery or do i need the whole wiring even with the fuse block and every connnecter inside the dash.

oo civic should be all the wires from under the battery and thru the firewall. but if you are puttin it in a 92 then just use the wiring harness from the eg civic it will work out better and easier.

you can use the wiring harness off of your eg but you have to wire up vtec and move one wire that is in the way of one of the pinouts for vtec on dohc ecus.

lets start over..... did you take all the wires out of eg. if so put them back you can use those all you have to do is add a couple of wires to your stock harness and if you keep in touch I can post pics of pin outs but I am currently updating my alldata at work and cant get any info for a couple of days. but all you need is stock harness so if removed put it back. and then we will go from there.

okay man you see i havent took out my engine yet out of the hatch or any wire. im taking it out of the 00 civic first engine and harness. what i want to know is how to or what to take out of the 00 civic . if i need the whole harness or just parts of it. cause i read on here that i need the wires from the ecu all the way to the engine if am correct. but i sure could be wrong cause this is going to be my first swap.

all you need out of the 00 is motor trans shiftlinkage and axles. you will need to get bseries driver upper mount from 94-01 integra and of course obd1 chipped p28, p72, p30 anyone of these will work. have you got the motor out of eg yet?

the easiest way possible to put a b16a2 into a 92-95 Civic is to get yourself a 96-99 obd2a Integra Gs-r engine harness and put that on and plug it to your civic at the firewall, as far as the 2000 Si engine harness it is totally different, just remove it from the engine completely. I hope you took out the battery tray and ecu and pulled it through the firewall properly without cutting it, so you can sell it. You will be able to sell it for more than you are gonna pay for the gs-r harness.your stock civic driver and passenger mounts will work with the b16, but you do need a 94-01 Integra 5spd T bracket
