Need help with a few question on a 97 dx ej6
Whats up HT!! As title states I have a few questions that I need your help with. Sorry if some of the questions are long.
1-recently my cel has come on, code #45- FUEL SYSTEM TOO RICH OR LEAN. It came on after I switch from 91 octane to 88 octane, (why 91 I dont know but after a recent post I switched to 88) it took about half a tank for the cel to come on. My questions is did switching to the lower octane rating affect the fuel system that bad because everytime I reset my ecu the same code comes back about half a tank later or Is my primary O2 sensor going? I think it's my O2 sensor but just want to be sure before spending the money.
2- It is about time for my emissions and with the problem in question 1 can I reset my ecu, quickly go and get my car tested, and pass before the cel comes on or does the ecu need more time to learns the curves?
I have y8 intake mani with cai/h/e the rest stock.

Does anybody know the answer for question two? Does the ecu need time to get numbers and curves or can I just reset it and drive there to get the test done before the cel comes on?

I got mine passed with a cel, it was for the crank speed fluctuation sensor near the oil pump, I just reset my ecu and drove it in, it didn't trip till like a day after, so I would drive your car around and find out how long it takes to trip the cel and play it from there, you should pass as long as it doesn't trip when they are running it .
