Default need help on electric stuff

i have a 94 civic si, just recently took out my alpine cda-9813 deck and cut a yellow wire because it had like this big box with two wires coming out from each side connected from the plug that plugs into the deck and to the plug that plugs to the car harness. when i cut that yellow wire, there was a spark and after that my deck doesn't work anymore. also my clock is not as bright anymore as well, and whenever i restart the car, the clock goes back to 1:00. anyone ever experience this before?

Check whether fuse 32 under the hood or fuse 23 under the dash is blown.

That big box you cut out is there to filter noise off the power wire. They usually incorporate a fuse as well. It's intended to be connected directly to the car's battery, but usually people wire them up to the stock wiring and the deck doesn't get the power it needs to reach it's full potential.

Not too bright to remove something without knowing what you're doing.

it's just to filter the noise off the power wire, meaning i don't reallie need it right cause i'm not doing any crazy audio stuff.
