Default Need Help with D15b swap into 94 Civic CX

My motor blew on my cx and so I swapped a d15b into the car and used a 92-95 civic ex/si wiring harness. I also pinned out the two pins on the firewall and wired the v-tec into the ecu. The engine starts up fine but it will not run correctly. It shakes really bad and the top speed right now is 40 and if I go over 45 in 5th gear the engine freaks out. I used the P08 ecu that came with the motor, is there an ecu that would work better? I replaced the spark plugs, checked the timing, checked the fuel injectors, and everything else. The car is currently in a shop and they are telling me that they cant figure out what to do so they have to check every wire to make sure it is correct and that is going to cost an arm and a leg. Also, does a jdm engine need to be read by a jdm diagnostic machine? If anyone has any ideas what is wrong, please let me know. Thanks,
Jon

what O2 sensor are you running? if needed, have you modified the harness accordingly?

I am using a brand new 4 wire 02 sensor, I think thats the right one right? It snapped right into the wire harness, perfect fit.

P08 is a one wire O2 sensor ECU, that could be your problem. If I were you I would switch over to a P28, since you have the EX/Si harness and 4 wire O2 sensor already. Good Luck.

Check the classifieds, they usually go anywhere from $90-125.

The garage I took it to said that only two codes showed up, something with the throttle sensor, a TPS, and something else that I cant remember. They also said that they could not get anyother codes from the ecu so I am guessing the ecu is shot or there is something wrong with it. Also, I ran both ecus, the p05 and the p08 and both ran the engine incorrectly and both times I reset the ecu.

Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)? And then the other code was what?

Make sure the TPS is plugged in (located at the rear of throttle body by the firewall). Honestly it won't cause a huge issue (at least it didn't for me when mine came unplugged).

Find out what the other code is and let us know.
