I have a 1998 Civic HX coup, I have a check engine light on (This has happened a lot in the 10+ years I have owned the car) and I was wondering if there were any smartphone apps that would allow me to obtain, read and or clear the codes. I would prefer a free app as I am on an extremely limited budget. The last time I had to smog this vehicle it was extremely expensive...and the check engine light went on very shortly after it was "repaired." I would appreciate any help with this.

I have a Honda automotive database app and it gives you a bunch of diff info on everything

It's called Honda automotive database. It won't read the codes for you but it will tell you all the cel codes which is why I like it, its a lot quicker then going to Google each time
