Default Need help in choosing between cars?

to make this tech related I also want to know how to tell if a set of so called ssr rims (the acura mesh looking ones with, they are gunmetal with silver lip) are real?

Here is my main problem though, I have $5000 to spend and ultimately i want a b series swap(dont care if its b16 or b18)in a GOOD looking hatch. Right now i am looking at 2 hatches, one is a 93 civic cx with a gsr engine, i/H/E 1999 si rims, gsr cloth interior, carbon duckbill and gsr brake setup all around.

The other car is a 93 civic si with the stock sohc vtec engine, has act clutch, I/H/E, tokico blues with some springs, the so called ssr rims, 2000 civic si red stitichin seats, jdm itr red stitch steering wheel with airbag, carbon fiber spoon lip and wing, carbon fiber hood, spoon brakes and calipers on all four corners, decent system(which i dont even want) and some nice other jdm goodies.

basically if you add these cars together i will have my dream car but i can only choose one, the cx satisfies my engine and speed needs (which is my main concern) but the si is so well done and put together, the parts that it has a real quality pieces and looks like a brand new car inside and out, i wont have to touch the looks of it.

I always wanted a faster car but i also want something that looks good, and i can't make my decision

what should i get, i can get both of these for the same price?
fast cx or slow beautiful si???????????

hard to decide without a pic but i would go CX, b18c1 over then SI. the CX imo is a better platform for speed. you can do all the things the SI has with the CX and it will be lighter. go CX.

go with the cx. waay lighter than an si. plus since you already have the powerplant you want, you can concentrate the funds on upping the appearance of the car to a custom design that you choose. and, doing cosmetic work is easier than mechanical work imo so you could probalbly do alot of it yourself. that way you have more personal stake in your car when it's done

Pics arent really needed, imagine the most beautiful si with a great white paintjob, shiny ssr rims and cf hood wing and lip, and imagine a stock oem teal cx with a gsr engine.
Thanks for the help though, and does anyone know how i can tell if the rims are the real deal.

If you are asking that question, then for you it likely isn't. The Si is going to have more features, A/C, power windows/locks, power steering, moonroof. It's up to you to decide if you want to be uncompromised in favor of performance (no frills CX) or do you want some extra comfort features that add some wieght (the Si).

That is strange, I thought only the Si had a moonroof?
