The bitch of it is, I can never get that stupid bracket thing back on, so I jimmy'd my own set up under the hood. Good luck! Don't forget to relieve the pressure from your gas tank or you will have gas shoot all over the place

I had that problem too i just got pissed and just kept crankin on it, and it evenutally broke loose. and to make things worse the first filter the shop gave me had striped threads so i had to put the old one back on drive and get a second new one and start over. and my 95 civic takes a 96-98 fuel filter. go figure i guess its a 95 and a half hope that helps

Use a flare nut wrench that holds the bottom alloy nut on all 4 corners, this avoids striping the corners. I did mine a few days ago, it takes a 17 mm to hold the filter and a 14 mm flare nut wrench to twist the bottom.

Here's a pic I took earlier of my 93 cx filter.
The top screw came right off, but the bolt underneath that holds the banjo line was a bitch! I ended up taking the 2 10mm nuts out to hang loose from the firewall. I just held the damn thing in my hand and used a long rachet and it popped loose.
Just use plenty of elbow grease

Yeah the older ones had both inlet and outlet on top, while the later ones and also Integras had the inlet hard line on bottom and the outlet banjo fitting on top. I got a set of flare nut wrenches from AutoZone to use on my fuel filter. It's alot easier if you remove that hard line fitting before removing the bracket from firewall. I doubt you'll bend or break the firewall mounting.
