When the car is on and idling it won't go into any gears. Only way to get it rolling is to start it in 1st or Reverse. It shifts from gear to gear with no problem once it's rolling. Any clue please let me know!! So far i know it's not the master cylinder because i just replaced.

Clutch/throwout bearing/freewheel sticky/stuck somehow?

Air in clutch hydraulic system? Faulty/incorrect/wrong size Clutch Master/Clutch Slave? Incorrect clutch pedal height?

** It shifts ok once you get it rolling ?!?

What do you mean "start it in first". Put in in gear, let clutch out and lurch forward using the starter motor?!?

if you already bled the clutch im assuming you did cuz you changed the mc. time to drop the tranny and check the clutch disc.

thanks guys. yup already bled the clutch. didn't want to drop the tranny but it looks like i have to. no other solutions ****.

The slave cylinder may be bad. Check that before dropping the transmission.

Replace the tranny fluid with genuine Honda MTF.

that doesnt make much sense. Either your clutch is bad or it isnt. You shoulnt be able to shift fine and disengage the clutch once your rolling, but not when your stopped..

not true.

a failing clutch will almost disengage. causing difficulty getting into gear from a stand still and eventually grinding, or difficulty shifting while moving.

so either it is this or the OP's hydraulic operating system is at fault. whether that be a slave or master cylinder or both.

Before dropping the tranny, I'd be tempted to get a buddy and have him move the gear shift while I moved the slave cylinder out of the way and pressed the lever with a screwdriver....but that's just me the cheap-skate.
