need help with a buy
sup guys im looking to buy a eg hatch on craigslist for ~1000 an this lady is selling hers for 1500 but i got her down to 1000 maybe lower... problem with it is she said she replaced the motor a yr ago and since then its fried 3 ecus... think its the wiring when she got the motor replaced? also it needs a new cat to pass smog but im not worried about that too much... how much u guys think this hatch would cost... fixing the problem and whatnot... thx its a cx btw but im gonna be looking at it sometime this week to see what motor it has

there's no telling in how hard its gonna be... it could be something simple or something as to having to replaces wire harnesses... your best bet is to get someone mechanically inclined in the wiring department of hondas to go check the car out with you... where are you located?

dam.. thx tho.. idk ill just try to talk her down as much i can... im thinkin the problem is a obd2 motor on a obd1 ecu or just the wiring wasnt done right with the swap.

yeah just try as much as you can, its not the obd2 motor with obd1 ecu.. its gotta be a wiring issue...

Yea, take a shot at it... U cant plug an OBD2 motor on an OBD1 ecu unless u have the conversion harness.. It has to be a mistake on the wiring.. Pretty sure its nothing big
